Chippewa Boot Lovers:
Check these out. I asked Chippewa to make up one pair of non-steel toe 17 inch black leather, oil-finish Engineers. I've always had difficulty with steel-toes.... and I love tall boots. But tall non-steel engineers are not available in the current Chippewa lineup. As a result I wear the 11" non-steel engineers... Hmmm, there's something missing. Like six inches!

I've been wearing these 17 inchers with no-steel toes for the past month, and I love 'em. One thing I noted is how much lighter weight they are than the Wescos 16" Engineer/Boss Boots! Not to worry -- I've been wearing Wescos all my life and I continue to rack up miles with them.... but I'm also a huge fan of Chippewa.

Dehner Jacket Winner

During our Dehner special visit from Jeff Ketzler -- owner of Dehner Boots -- we had a drawing for a Dehner leather jacket.

The winner of the drawing was "Captain Bill" from San Francisco.
